STUDENTS: REMEMBER TO -

1. Check the chalkboard for the day's assignments.

2. Write the homework in your planner immediately!!

3. Check your planner and get the necessary materials for home,

BEFORE you get on the bus.

4. Make sure all your materials are organized and in your book bag

BEFORE you retire for the night - NOT IN THE MORNING!!

5. Read and study any notes at least 5 days per week. That way it

will go from your short term memory into your long term memory.

Give yourself a quiz. That way taking a test and/or quiz will

be easier to do.

6. Read and follow the rubric for assignments.

  

 

DIFFERENT WAYS TO STUDY (Use this list to assist you in studying.)

1. Write the score from your last quiz/test.

2. Write all of the different ways you studied.

3. Write how many times you used each method for each concept/

vocabulary/term.

(Remember that your brain must see/hear the concept/

vocabulary/term at least 40 times!)

4. If you received a 100%, then keep using these methods.

They must be working.

5.If you received 95% or less, then add/change your study methods.

6. Be sure to use at least 3 different methods to study.

PARENTS: REMEMBER TO –

1. Please make sure the office has your recent home telephone number.

2. If your child forgets any books, materials, etc. the school

is open in the evening.

Check with the office as to when the front door is closed for the

night and if it will be opened on the weekend.

3. When asking your child, if his/her homework is done, have your

child SHOW you the assignment.

4. Please make sure your computer is working and there is ink and

paper for the computer. If the computer and/or printer crashes,

your child may handwrite any assignments that are due.

5. Students are expected to have their assignments all done on

paper ON the due date at the beginning of class. It must be done

in blue or black ink. They SHOULD NOT bring their assignments

on a CD-RW or flashdrive on the due date. Any student that

brings their assignments on a disc, it will be considered late.

They have to print their assignments on their own time BEFORE

the due date. Keep looking for something special on my website.

Do the following before your sit down,

give me the piece of paper with your full name, class hour,

the "Number of Visits", and the exact information. Then you

and your friend must sing the first 4 lines of the

Laverne & Shirley theme song or Friends Forever out loud to me.

You must follow these directions explicitly in order to sit with

your friend, otherwise, this permission slip is null and void.
